Sony Xperia 5 II up for Pre-order on Amazon US

Sony Xperia 5 II is now available to pre-order online in the US from Amazon. It has a launch price of $949.99. This phone will ship to customers on December 4, 2020, according to the Amazon listing.

Many reviewers online have called Xperia 5 II, the best phone Sony made in years. While the current flagship Xperia 1 II sports a 4K resolution display, the one on the Xperia 5 Mark 2 is a Full HD+ OLED screen. However, this features a 120Hz refresh rate support for a smoother operation which is not available on the Xperia 1 II.

Xperia 5 II is powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 865 octa-core processor. It supports sub-6 5G outside the US. Sony has equipped this with a 4000mAh battery which is the same capacity we saw on the Xperia 1 II. If you leave the refresh rate at 120hz, chances are you would drain the battery much faster.

In the camera department, Sony is bringing three 12MP sensors with different focal length lenses. The main camera features a 1/1.7 inch Exmor RS for mobile sensor with an F1.7 aperture, 24mm focal length lens. The telephoto 12MP is a 1/3.4 inch sensor with an F2.4 aperture, 70mm focal length lens. The ultra-wide-angle camera has a 1/2.55 inch Exmor RS for mobile sensor with an F2.2 aperture and 16mm focal length. On the front, there is an 8MP sensor for your selfies.
